Civil Rights Actions
Civil rights actions are long and complex. Whereas I’ve represented over 1,400 clients in the past 20 years, I’ve been involved in six civil rights actions, and been counsel who brought the suit in only three (with the State folding shortly before one was filed). They take months of planning and research, in-depth discovery and argument. However, prevailing on one is rewarding beyond words. To affect positive change in the system is why I decided to go to Law School.
The successful civil rights actions to date have been:
Pasqua v. Council, Supreme Court of New Jersey, https://www.dpdlaw.com/notable.shtml
Leonard v. Blackburn, Appellate Division https://www.dpdlaw.com/notable.shtml
W.M., K.N., et al v. Hon. Philip Carchman, et al, trial court (settled before filing), https://www.dpdlaw.com/notable.shtml
Kavadas v. Martinez, pending – trial court, https://www.dpdlaw.com/kavadas
